This group is open to all MyLPPC members and is utilized by LPPC to post announcements, news, events, and other time-sensitive updates. All members may visit this group page to view past and present information from LPPC to its members.

LPPC CEOs

The CEO Group is comprised of CEOs from all 29 member utilities. This group has monthly calls to discuss and collaborate on recent events or legislation impacting the energy sector at large and public utilities specifically. Please note that this group is closed to general members.

CEO Admins

This group represents executive administrative professionals who directly support the LPPC CEO Board members. This group is closed to general members.

CEO Steering Committee

The CEO Steering Committee includes the Chair, Vice Chair, Chair Emeritus, and additional CEOs elected by the full Board. Reconstituted under the 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, the Steering Committee is responsible for the administration, management, and operation of LPPC, and aligns CEO priorities with the work of the Board Committees.

Approved under LPPC's 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, the four Board Committees each have a defined scope. Committees align CEO priorities, work plans, and resources; review and approve budgets; monitor progress via dashboards; and evaluate outcomes through annual engagement surveys. Board Committees are expected to meet three times annually, before each CEO Meeting.

Power Supply & Resources Planning Board Committee

Focused on federal environmental regulation, generation mix, resource adequacy, and electrification — including clean-firm resources and interconnection policy as it relates to capacity needs.

Transmission, Distribution & Grid Operations Board Committee

Focused on FERC, NERC, and DOE policy and technical initiatives (e.g., resource adequacy, supply chain, cybersecurity), transmission planning, reliability, operational resilience, emergency response, grid hardening, supply chain, and cybersecurity policy/governance, ESCC/E-ISAC coordination, and cybersecurity information sharing and operational implementation.

Finance, Risk, & Business Operations Board Committee

Focused on financing, tax incentives, rate design, FEMA recovery, grants, federal loan programs (e.g., DOE Loan Programs Office), enterprise risk, audit, insurance, and operational efficiency — including project controls, performance metrics, and cost optimization.

Policy Advocacy, Customers, & Workforce Board Committee

Focused on coordinating advocacy by member utilities on policy positions developed by LPPC's Task Forces and on LPPC's DC strategy, including CEO-level engagement in advocacy efforts. Captures the perspectives and experiences of various utility stakeholders, overseeing state issues, communications, customer experience, and workforce development.

Task Forces are LPPC's policy-setting and advocacy bodies. Each operates within a Board-approved scope and Work Plan and reports to its assigned Board Committee. Each CEO appoints one primary Member per Task Force with authority to represent the utility in developing policy advocacy positions; positions without consensus may be elevated to the Board.

Advocacy Task Force Renamedformerly Policy Task Force

The Advocacy Task Force provides information, intelligence, and strategic counsel on federal policy issues to ensure LPPC can effectively advocate for its positions with industry stakeholders and key policymakers. The government relations professionals on the Advocacy Task Force carry the added responsibility of jointly advocating LPPC's agreed positions and using our collective relationships in Washington, D.C., to advance shared goals.

Tax & Finance Policy Task Force Renamedformerly Tax & Finance Task Force

The Tax & Finance Policy Task Force monitors regulatory and congressional activities for tax developments, keeps members informed of relevant issues, and provides technical expertise and guidance. Members include LPPC member-utility CFOs, Treasurers, and senior financial staff.

Environmental Regulations Task Force Renamedformerly Environmental Task Force

The Environmental Regulations Task Force is comprised of senior environmental executives from LPPC member utilities. The Task Force develops policy positions and strategy options, educates members, and serves as a technical resource on major environmental issues impacting our utilities.

Transmission, Reliability, and Markets Task Force Renamedformerly Energy Regulations Task Force

The Transmission, Reliability, and Markets Task Force is comprised of senior regulatory executives and attorneys from LPPC member utilities. The Task Force monitors FERC, develops and advocates positions in relevant rulemakings and administrative procedures, and maintains close contact with FERC Commissioners and staff. Its scope includes wholesale market rules and capacity constructs (including resource accreditation and capacity market design) as well as transmission planning and bulk electric system reliability.

Cybersecurity Policy & Governance Task Force Renamedformerly Cyber Security Task Force

The Cybersecurity Policy & Governance Task Force is comprised of senior cyber and operational security executives from LPPC member utilities. The Task Force monitors various forums focused on evolving risk and keeps members informed of risk mitigation, defense-in-depth practices, and government/private-sector coordination activities.

Formalized under LPPC's 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, the five C-suite Executive Networks have a direct channel into LPPC planning through their related Board Committees, ensuring executive-level perspectives inform LPPC's efforts. Task Force Chairs, LPPC staff, and consultants will regularly brief Executive Networks on key policy activities, draft positions, and upcoming decision points.

Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Executive Network formerly CFO Working Group

The CFO Executive Network is composed of the CFO from each LPPC member utility. A peer network for cross-cutting finance and enterprise perspectives, created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues, and identify best practices.

Chief Information Officers (CIO) Executive Network formerly CIO Working Group

The CIO Executive Network is made up of the CIO from each LPPC member utility. A peer network for technology, data, and IT-enterprise perspectives, focused on collaboration and sharing best practices.

General Counsel Executive Network formerly General Counsel Roundtable

The General Counsel Executive Network is composed of the General Counsel from each LPPC member utility. A peer network for legal, governance, and regulatory perspectives. The Network reports to the LPPC CEOs on priority issues as needed.

Chief Operating Officers (COO) Executive Network Renamedformerly Operations Executives Working Group

The COO Executive Network consists of Chief Operating Officers and other senior operations executives from LPPC member utilities. A peer network covering enterprise operations, cross-functional execution, and operational best practices.

Customer Experience Executive Network New

A new Executive Network created under the 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, composed of senior customer-facing executives from LPPC member utilities. Brings the customer-experience perspective into LPPC planning and informs Board Committee discussions on customer programs, satisfaction, and emerging customer-facing capabilities.

Networks are LPPC's peer-collaboration and best-practice-sharing forums. Under LPPC's 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, all former Working Groups have been renamed Networks, and Network Chairs may now submit budget requests through their related Board Committee to support collaboration initiatives such as surveys, workshops, and tool development.

Auditors Network formerly Chief Audit Executives Working Group

The Auditors Network consists of audit executives from LPPC member companies. A peer network created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues, and identify best practices.

Budget and Financial Planning Network New

A new Network established under the 2025–2027 Strategic Plan for financial planning leaders from LPPC member utilities, focused on budget process, forecasting, capital planning, and long-range financial planning practices.

Business Process Optimization Network formerly Business Process Optimization Working Group

The Business Process Optimization Network is composed of senior leaders from finance, audit and risk, and process improvement. The Network focuses on capital spend efficiency, project controls, performance metrics, and overall efficiency and cost savings.

Communications & Marketing Network formerly Communications Executives Working Group

The Communications & Marketing Network consists of senior communications and marketing executives from LPPC member utilities. A peer network for collaboration, sharing industry knowledge, discussing common issues, and identifying best practices in communications, public affairs, and marketing.

Controllers Network formerly Controllers Working Group

The Controllers Network serves as a resource to LPPC members by providing information and support as questions or issues arise in the accounting area. A peer network meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues, and identify best practices.

Customer Service Network formerly Customer Service Executives Working Group

The Customer Service Network includes senior staff from LPPC members' customer service departments. A peer network for collaboration on service operations, channels, and customer-facing technology.

E-mobility Network Now a Networkformerly E-mobility Task Force

The E-mobility Network is comprised of senior representatives from LPPC member utilities. The Network focuses on identifying opportunities for participation, engagement, and best practices to capture the collective interests of LPPC members in mobile electrification, and serves as a resource for innovation and a unified national approach.

Emergency Response & Grid Hardening Network New

A new Network established under the 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, focused on coordinating emergency response, mutual aid, and grid hardening practices across member utilities.

Enterprise Risk Management Network formerly Enterprise Risk Managers Working Group

The Enterprise Risk Management Network includes executives and senior staff in LPPC members' risk management departments who collaborate to share industry knowledge and best practices.

Insurance Professionals Network formerly Insurance Working Group

The Insurance Professionals Network is composed of Risk Executives and Directors of Insurance and Finance from LPPC member utilities, focused on insurance markets, coverage, and risk transfer.

Rate Design Network formerly Rate Design Working Group

The Rate Design Network includes financial planning managers and analysts from each of the LPPC member utilities. A peer network meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues, and identify best practices.

Safety Network formerly Safety Working Group

The Safety Network is comprised of senior-level executives who are subject-matter experts in the safety field. LPPC member organizations consider safety to be a top priority. This group of executives aims to build maturity in safety culture and leadership among members, aid in safety-related topics, and provide collaborative support for other LPPC groups.

Strategic Trends & Innovations Network Now a Networkformerly Emerging Trends Task Force

The Strategic Trends & Innovations Network is comprised of senior representatives from LPPC member utilities. Focused on educating members on emerging trends within the industry, this group identifies opportunities and threats and reports to the CEO Board. It advises Task Forces of emerging trends that may warrant advocacy.

Supply Chain Network formerly Supply Chain Working Group

The Supply Chain Network includes supply chain managers and procurement directors from LPPC member companies who collaborate to share industry knowledge and solve supply chain challenges.

Workforce Network Combinedcombines the former HR Working Group and DEI Working Group

The Workforce Network combines what were previously the HR and DEI Working Groups under LPPC's 2025–2027 Strategic Plan. The Network is composed of HR, talent, and workforce executives from LPPC member utilities, focused on talent strategy, workforce planning, inclusion and equity, and people practices specific to public power.

LPPC Group Leaders

Each group within MyLPPC has a group leader or leaders to help facilitate discussion, add new members, initiate polls, and maintain the general organization of the group. Questions specific to each group should be sent to the group leader or admin.

LPPC Roster

The LPPC Roster group within MyLPPC includes the representatives from each member utility who are invited to LPPC CEO meetings and listed on our membership roster. LPPC CEOs designate who should be included in this group.

The LPPC Members Only group within MyLPPC is exclusive to LPPC member utilities and LPPC consultants.
