ABOUT GROUPS

Working groups, task forces and committees constitute MyLPPC's member groups. Please note that if you are not currently a group member, you cannot view that group's page or collaborate with its members. To request to join a group, select the group or groups you would like to join and submit your request.

This group is open to all MyLPPC members and is utilized by LPPC to post announcements, news, events and other time-sensitive updates. All may visit this group page to view all past and present information from LPPC to its members. 


  LPPC CEOs & CEO ADMINS

LPPC CEOs

The CEO Group is comprised of CEOs from all 27 member utilities. This group has monthly calls to discuss and collaborate on recent events or legislation impacting the energy sector at large and public utilities specifically. Please note that this group is closed to general members.  

CEO ADMINS

This group represents executive administrative professionals who directly support the LPPC CEO Board members. This group is closed to general members.

  COMMITTEES   

CEO Steering Committee

The CEO Steering Committee includes the Chair, Vice Chair, Immediate Past Chair, Chair Emeritus and six additional CEOs elected by the full Board. The Steering Committee is responsible for the administration, management, and operation of LPPC. 

Task Force Leadership Committee

The Task Force Leadership Committee is dedicated to coordinating and monitoring LPPC activities, such as implementing the strategic direction provided by the CEOs for both policy and member services. The TFLC also guides and supports the development of membership initiatives, meetings, administrative processes, CEO relations, and organizational development. The Committee is led by the President with the support of the Vice President of Member Services and Policy Task Force Chair. Members of the Committee include Task Force Chairs and Vice Chairs, DC consultants, LPPC Strategic Advisor, and General Counsel.


  TASK FORCES 

PTF

The Policy Task Force (PTF) provides information, intelligence and strategic counsel on federal policy issues to ensure LPPC can effectively advocate for its positions with industry stakeholders and key policymakers and favorable outcomes on LPPC priority issues are achieved.  

SIWG

The State Issues Working Group (SIWG) is a subgroup of representatives from the Policy Task Force (PTF). This working group focuses on the challenges and opportunities at state legislatures. The SIWG is a clearinghouse to discuss state issues with other utilities to share information, gather intelligence and benefit from lessons learned. This working group reports to and operates within the PTF.

T&F

The Tax & Finance Task Force (T&F) monitors regulatory and congressional activities for tax developments, keeps members informed of relevant issues, and provides technical expertise and guidance. Members of T&F include LPPC member utility CFOs, Treasurer’s and senior financial staff.

ETF

The Environmental Task Force (ETF) are senior environmental executives from LPPC member utilities. The ETF develops policy positions and strategy options, educates members and serves as a technical resource on major environmental issues impacting our utilities.  

ERTF

The Energy Regulations Task Force (ERTF) are Senior regulatory executives and attorneys from LPPC member utilities. The ERTF monitors FERC, develops and advocates positions in relevant rulemakings and administrative procedures, and maintains close contact with FERC Commissioners and staff.

RT

The Reliability Team (RT) is a group of compliance professionals from LPPC member utilities. The RT tracks NERC Standards projects from the Standard Authorization Request through balloting, developing input and promoting positions at each phase.  

CSTF

The Cyber Security Task Force (CSTF) are senior cyber and operational security executives from LPPC member utilities. The CSTF monitors various forums focused on evolving risk and keeps members informed of risk mitigation, defense-in-depth practices, and government/private sector coordination activities.  

ETTF

The Emerging Trends Task Force (ETTF) are senior representatives from LPPC member utilities designated by their CEO. There are two representatives from each utility in the ETTF.  Focused on educating members on emerging trends within the industry, this group identifies opportunities and threats and reports to the CEO Board. They advise other Task Forces of emerging trends that  possibly warrant advocacy. 

EMTF

The E-Mobility Task Force (EMTF) is comprised of senior representatives from LPPC member utilities designated by their CEO. Internally and externally, the EMTF is charged with identifying opportunities for participation, engagement, and policy to best capture the collective interests of LPPC members. The EMTF will serve as both a resource for policy, education, innovation, and the development of a unified national approach on mobile electrification.

CTF

The Communications Task Force (CTF) directs our communications advocacy and media consulting firm in DC. They position LPPC as an effective voice for our members and help raise the profile and visibility
of the organization among key audiences within the Washington, DC “ecosphere” (e.g., policymakers, media, industry leaders). They focus on communicating LPPC’s key policy priorities, secure media meetings, and leverage social media tools to amplify LPPC's impact.

   Working Groups   

BPO WG

The Business Process Optimization Working Group (BPO WG) is composed of senior leaders housed in a variety of business units but generally represented by finance, audit and risk, or process improvement professionals. The group focuses on capital spend efficiency, project controls, performance metrics, and overall efficiency and cost savings.

CAE WG

The Chief Audit Executives Working Group (CAE WG) consists of audit executives from LPPC member companies. A peer network, this group was created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

CEWG

The Communications Executives Working Group (CEWG) consists of senior communications executives from LPPC member utilities. A peer network, this group was created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.


CFO WG

The Chief Financial Officers Working Group (CFO WG) is composed of the CFO from each LPPC member utility. A peer network, this group was created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

CIO WG

The Chief Information Officers Working Group (CIO WG) is made up of the CIO from each LPPC member utility. A peer network, this group was created to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

Controllers WG

The Controllers Working Group (CWG) was formed to serve as a resource to LPPC members by providing information and support as questions or issues arise in the accounting area. A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

CSWG

The Customer Service Executives Working Group (CSWG) includes senior staff of LPPC members utility customer service departments. A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices. 

DE&I WG

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Working Group (DE&I WG) was created to provide a forum to support LPPC’s commitment to advancing inclusion, diversity and racial equity.  A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices. The working group is composed of 1-2 senior staff from each member utility, designated by their CEO.

ERM WG

The Enterprise Risk Managers Working Group (ERM WG) includes executives and senior staff in LPPC members’ risk management departments who collaborate to share industry knowledge and best practices. 

General Counsel Roundtable

The General Counsels (GC) is a LPPC working group composed of the General Counsel for each LPPC member utility. A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.The GC working group reports to the LPPC CEOs on priority issues, as needed. 

HRWG

The Human Resource Executives Working Group (HRWG) is made up of HR executives and professionals from LPPC member utilities.  A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.


IWG

The Insurance Working Group (IWG) is composed of Risk Executives and Directors of Insurance and Finance from LPPC member utilities.

OEWG

The Operational Executives Working Group (OEWG) consists of Chief Operating Officers and other senior operations executives from LPPC member utilities.  A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

RDWG

The Rate Design Working Group (RDWG) includes financial planning managers and analysts from each of the LPPC member utilities. A peer network, this group is meant to foster collaboration, share industry knowledge, discuss common issues and identify best practices.

SWG

The Safety Working Group (SWG) is comprised of senior-level executives who are subject matter experts in the safety field. LPPC member organizations consider safety to be a top priority. This group of executives aims to build maturity in safety culture and leadership among members, aid in safety-related topics, and provide collaborative support for other LPPC Working Groups.

SCWG

The Supply Chain Working Group (SCWG) includes supply chain managers and procurement directors from LPPC member companies who collaborate to share industry knowledge and solve supply chain challenges.

OTHER GROUPS

LPPC Group Leaders

Each group within MyLPPC has a group leader or leaders to help facilitate discussion, add new members, initiate polls, and maintain the general organization of the group. Questions specific to each group should be sent to the group leader or admin. 

LPPC Roster

The LPPC Roster group within MyLPPC includes the representatives from each member utility who are invited to LPPC CEO meetings and listed on our membership roster. LPPC CEOs designate who should be included in this group.


LPPC Members Only

The LPPC Members Only group within MyLPPC is exclusive to LPPC member utilities and LPPC consultants.
